On the basis of full awareness of the importance of preventing risks and developing plans and strategies which provides the means to protect lives and property,King Saud University established risk management to play this major and influential role in achieving the university's vision, mission and strategic goals. The risk management at the Vice Presidency for Planning and Development operates according to an ambitious vision to be a distinguished management in dealing with crisis and risk sciences and to face its challenges, by working diligently and persistently to achieve its mission represented in preserving human capital, assets, property and systems and reduce the occurrence of disasters and crises. It is a role that long-standing institutions are keen on, which are well aware of the importance of human wealth and the necessity of preserving it and all gains. This is confirmed by the study of the reality of international universities, especially the reference universities of King Saud University, which have attached utmost importance to risk management and work according to solid scientific foundations in carrying out all their tasks to achieve their desired goals
